This 1/16" U-shaped channel self-adhesive rubber edge trim features a 1/16" wide slot, with a slot depth of 11/32" inch, making it suitable for all sharp edges less than 3/32" (2.4mm) wide. We also offer rubber edge trims in 1/8", 1/4", and other specifications to cater to different needs.

The 1/16" rubber edge trim is designed to cover the edges of various sheet metal parts, such as car doors, steel plates and panels, steel tiles, cabinets, cages, or other DIY sheet metal components. This sheet metal edge protector can also function as an automatic guard, preventing paint peeling due to collisions or scratches.

The trim has adhesive on both sides, with removable films. After installation, the trim adheres firmly to the target object's surface and will not fall off for an extended period. If you need to remove it, simply tear it off, and there will be no glue marks or surface corrosion left behind.

Prefect Fit for Different Shape Edges

Straight Edges and Corners: The edge trim is suitable for all flat edges and corners, but you may need to cut off a small amount of material at the corners before bending, using a knife or scissors.

Curved Edges: When installing the 1/16" edge trim on a curved edge, ensure the curved diameter is larger than 10 inches; otherwise, the sides of the trim may lift up after installation.

Tubular Edges: If installing the 1/16" edge trim on the edge of a pipe, make sure the pipe diameter is larger than 1-1/4"; otherwise, the outer edge of the trim may lift up after installation.

The installation of the self-adhesive U-channel sheet metal protector is straightforward and only requires hands and scissors. First, press the edge trim to the product's edge, then peel off the red adhesive film from the trim's head, holding the trim in place to prevent it from moving during the process.

EPDM Rubber Material: The edge trim is made of EPDM dense rubber, which is durable, not easily aged, extremely wear-resistant, and washable. Compared to PVC material edge trims, the EPDM material is less prone to breaking down due to ultraviolet light and ozone, and it offers better thermal stability, radiation resistance, and weather resistance.
